The Saudi British Society had the pleasure of hosting Lord Ed Vaizey, former UK Government Culture and Digital Minister (2011-2016). The conversation focused on the importance of the creative economy; the UK’s experience, and what it means for countries such as Saudi Arabia.
The longest serving minister in this role, Ed Vaizey is credited as helping to make the creative industries the fastest growing part of the UK economy. The moderator in conversation with Ed Vaizey was the well-known Saudi actress and film maker Ahd Kamel, known for her role in the BAFTA-nominated film, Wadjda and for her prominent role in BBC-Netflix series ‘Collateral’.
The event was followed by a Q & A, drinks, canapés and a networking reception
