Dr Basmah Mosleh Omair is the CEO of the Alsayedah Khadijah Bint Khwailid Centre, the women’s section of the Jeddah Chamber of Commerce and Industry. The Centre is paving the way to women taking centre stage in the Saudi economy.

Dr Omair, a brilliant strategist, restructured the Centre to become the first lobbying group focusing on legislation reform and removing economic and social obstacles facing women.

The daughter of a US Saudi diplomat, she was raised and educated in the US and received her PhD in education technology/management and leadership in 2004 from the American University in Washington.

The talk was followed by a drinks reception.
