This year’s AGM is on Thursday 7 September at 6pm in the Arab British Chamber of Commerce, 43 Upper Grosvenor Street, London, W1K 2NJ. This will be followed by a panel discussion on the Emerging Saudi Art Scene and Saudi Women in Art.
Moderated by Dr Najah Al-Otaibi, a trustee, researcher and journalist currently working on a paper about Arts as Form of Soft Power, the panelists consist of:
Intisar Yamani – a trustee, artist and communications expert in East-West intercultural affairs, who will address art as a universal language that transcends the cultural divide’;
Dr Ghadah Alharthi – cultural consultant and associate professor in innovation and culture at University of the Arts London, Central St Martins;
Janet Rady of Janet Rady Fine Art– an expert in art history with a Masters degree in Islamic Art History.
This promises to be a fascinating discussion and will be followed by a drinks reception and Arabesque buffet.
