As usual, we have had three main events in the past year.
On 22nd October 2014 we were entertained by Roger Harrison, author of Wings Over Arabia who showed us aerial views of Saudi Arabia taken when he accompanied Prince Sultan Bin Salman Bin Abdulaziz and Prince Bander Bin Khaled Al Faisal on an expedition by glider over the western region of Saudi Arabia.
On 26th November we invited Dr. Basmah Mosleh Omair, CEO of Alsayedah Khadiya Bint Khawilid Businesswomen Centre, Jeddah, to give the annual Ghazi Al Gosaibi Memorial Lecture. She spoke on the theme of Saudi women and their participation in National Development.
The Rawabi Holding Awards and Annual Dinner were held at the Institute of Directors on 11th February 2014. This year’s prize winners were the Society’s long serving and exceptionally hard working Honorary Secretary, Ionis Thompson, and Andrew Mead, publisher, businessman and charity fundraiser. As always, we are enormously grateful to Sheikh Abdulaziz al Turki for so generously sponsoring both the prizes and an evening that is the highlight of the Society’s year.
